Paul Borg is an Australian artist living in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. His work portrays the people, landscape and objects of suburbia. Having studied at the Victorian College of Arts, Paul has been practicing his art for 35 years and has taught painting and drawing at TAFE for 30 years. He now runs his own art school in Melbourne called “Paul Borg Art School”.

Growing up in the suburbs, Paul witnessed the effects of urban development to the landscape and its impact on the residents. As Paul explains, “I was told years ago that I should travel the world and come up with more universal images away from the home, but on my return I gravitated back to suburbia seeing it in a different light, seeing its real beauty. Following in the footsteps of Constable, Turner and Van Gogh who painted their immediate environment with such love and honesty, I want my own works to become as universal as theirs.
